Twitter Portrait Challenge

I have been into portrait drawing practice since a few days and when I came across the portrait challenge on Twitter, I immediately jumped in to give it a try. The challenge was to come up with a portrait "Maga's Daughter" by Andrew Wyeth, 1966. I used colored pencil to do the sketch. :)

Here is my submission for the #portraitchallenge

Here are the work-in-progress shots of my submission.

Gesture drawing practice

This was supposed to be a Gesture drawing (which are usually a fast way of capturing the pose of the subject, like say 30 sec-1 min), but I got carried away a little and finished the characters in my own way, lol. :D

Colour Collective ~ Pearl

I created a new Photoshop brush and was desperate to try it out. Actually whenever I try any brush, I just do some scribbling on my Cintiq and delete the file. I must have done thousands of such random scribbles. Today when I look at my brush sets, I sometime forget how they actually behave. So I have decided that hereafter I will make it a practice to work on some serious illustration to test my brushes. And again for color collective submission, one illustration was due for this week. I quickly sketched this little girl. So here is my submission for the Colour_Collective Challenge for the color Pearl.

Colour Collective - Leaf green

This is my submission for the Colour Collective challenge on Twitter for the colour "Leaf Green". This was done using watercolor and polychromos colored pencils.
